Description
A stunning example of a clean, modern cruising sailboat that boasts refinements for comfort and performance in one elegant package. The Catalina 355 is a former Cruising World Boat of the Year Award winner in two categories: Best Midsize and Domestic Boat of the Year. This one-owner, professionally maintained, freshwater vessel is worth your consideration. Breezin’ is loaded with options for versatile sail handling, extended cruising, and comfort at the dock or at anchor.
The cockpit is clean and organized, yet spacious and safe. A dodger and bimini provide protection from sun and spray, and custom-fit cushions keep the seating areas comfortable. All lines are led aft, and engine and navigation instruments are mounted neatly at the helm. The cockpit table has an insulated center section and two folding leaves that can seat 4-6 guests. A fully-networked Raymarine electronics package handles position information, as well as temperature, depth, wind and speed data. The Raymarine linear actuator autopilot will steer to a compass heading or an apparent wind angle. Coupled with a sailplan featuring in-mast furling and a roller furling genoa, this boat is perfect for the shorthanded or singlehanded sailor.
On deck you'll feel secure with 27" tall lifelines, wide weather decks, and molded-in nonskid in all traffic areas. The hull construction features a watertight collision zone bulkhead aft of the anchor locker--an important safety feature if sailing offshore. Deep lazarettes provide lots of storage and easy access to critical systems.
Moving below you’ll feel right at home with the teak and leatherette surroundings. Subtle lighting accents create a modern ambience, and can be optimized for day or night lighting conditions. The L-shaped galley to starboard has a deep double stainless sink, a refrigerator with top and front access, and a two-burner Force 10 stove and oven. Deep storage cabinets for dishes and staples flank a stainless microwave, and the under sink area has a built-in trash receptacle. The head is large and airy, with a standup shower, vanity, and marine toilet generously spaced. There is even a filter locker where all fuel and cooling water filters can be accessed from one convenient location, without the removal of panels, steps, or furniture.
The private aft cabin features a comfortable, queen-sized innerspring mattress, soft lighting, and a hanging locker lined with aromatic cedar. An opening portlight and a cockpit access hatch keeps the fresh air flowing at sea, and adjustable air vents keep the cool air flowing at the dock.
The saloon area is warm and inviting with cream-colored upholstery and plenty of seating and berthing options. An opening chart table provides a large enough work space for navigation, systems management, and log-keeping, and the clean AC/DC distribution panel is tastefully concealed behind a smoked plexi window. A long settee to port can be converted to two seats with a table in between, and the U-shaped saloon can be converted to a double berth with a quick removal of the four-leaved table. Concealed accent lighting surrounds the space, and opening ports with sliding privacy let the light in or out, depending on your preference.
The forward cabin features an electrically articulating queen-sized innerspring mattress, plenty of outlets and lighting features, and another cedar lined hanging locker. Drawers and a dedicated vanity round out the impressive accommodations.
The Catalina 355 has the comfort and capability to help you get to your next destination in style—no matter how far. Make plans to see this stunning example today!

Patrick Kelly grew up on the west side of Cleveland, Ohio. After taking a local Learn to Sail class as a young teenager, he was hooked and has been on the water ever since. While attending The Ohio State University, he was a member of the sailing team, competing around the midwest. Boating has been a way of life for Patrick; he participates on several racing crews, and holds a USCG Master License. In addition, he is an FAA licensed commercial pilot.
When not racing, Patrick enjoys cruising around the great lakes with his partner Jennifer and their children. He volunteers his spare time to promote junior sailing programs, and enjoys watching his son sail on the Edgewater Yacht Club Junior Race Team.
Not only is Patrick a member of the RCR Team, he is also a customer, having purchased his boat through RCR a few years ago. "The expertise RCR provided when I made my boat purchase was impressive, and I hope to provide the same level of excellence to my customers."
