Description
The 2001 Beneteau First 33.7 is a sleek and stylish sailing yacht, well-known for its excellent performance and comfortable cruising capabilities. Designed with a focus on speed and handling, this model is perfect for both competitive sailors and those seeking leisurely adventures on the water. The Beneteau First 33.7 offers sailors a delightful balance of performance and comfort.
Joy Ride is a one-owner vessel that has been well-maintained throughout the years. She is a loved member of the family that has generated volumes of memories, but the time has come to dream new dreams. She comes to you in turnkey condition, complete with lots of extra accessories and spares to maximize your time on the water!
On deck, she's rigged for simplicity and comfort, but also shows her racing pedigree. A fractional, two spreader racing mast, upgraded Lewmar self-tailing winches, and Spinlock and Lewmar line clutches are but a few examples of the quality hardware with which she is outfitted. A teak toe rail surrounds the deck, and teak-trimmed cockpit seats add a stylish look. Previous wood treatments are due for replacement, so the look of the wood can be customized to your taste. Wheel steering, depth, wind, and speed instrumentation, compass and autopilot round out the displays on deck, and the ample lazarettes under the cockpit seats provide a large amount of storage. Additionally, corner pushpit seats were added by the owners with custom canvas backrests. These provide wonderful perches under sail or lounging at the dock, and may quickly become your favorite place to sit! A newer main sail (2017) tucks neatly into a stack pack, while the newer 140% genoa (2012) furls easily. A seldom-used asymmetrical spinnaker is also included! The cockpit contains a full-width traveler; this results in better mainsail control and better boat speed, and all lines lead aft for easy sailhandling.
Down below, you are greeted by airy, light comfort. The galley to port provides a propane stove, refrigerator/freezer and double-basin stainless sink. A fully enclosed head aft of the galley has plenty of standing headroom for showering and ample ventilation. Minimal wood trim here provides visual appeal, but maintains the ability for easy cleaning. To starboard you find a proper navigation station with a sit-down desk that opens. With space for navigation planning, log entries, or even a home office, you have plenty of room without sacrificing interior volume. Aft of the navigation station is a fully enclosed cabin with a queen-sized berth, a generous hanging locker, and battery switch access. Moving forward, the saloon will impress. Surrounded by portlights and "pear wood" stained interior finish, the settees to port and starboard are comfortable and provide storage underneath. Cabinetry behind each settee retains the classical styling of interior woodwork not often found on new boats. The table, with integral bottle storage, has foldout leaves to seat all of your guests, and the keel-stepped mast is forward and out of the way--an often overlooked, but intelligent design feature! The forward cabin is spacious and features two hanging lockers and a large opening hatch.
Joy Ride is powered by a 27 horsepower Yanmar diesel with a geared, folding propeller. Her rudder is constructed of a carbon-fiber stock on self-aligning bearings, and her 6'1" racing keel features a flared bottom for improved tracking under sail. A custom-built steel cradle and winter cover are also included.
Owners are motivated to sell and will consider all reasonable offers.
