Tim joined RCR Yachts in February 2014.Â He grew up in Youngstown, learning to sail in the Youngstown YC Jr. Sailing program.Â After leaving the area to attend Connecticut College and then work in New York City for 8 years, he decided to move home and follow his passion for boating.Â He actively races his J/70 â€œJuniorâ€ all over the country and locally as a member of the Youngstown Yacht Club, where he is on the board of directors.Â He is the co-chair of the CanAm Challenge that hosts a one-design regatta each July at YYC.Â Tim is also on the board for Sail America. He works out of the Youngstown and Buffalo offices and lives in Lewiston with his wife Aly and kids Cole & Louise.

Upon returning to my sailboat after being out of town for 12 days, I found the charging cord disconnected from the charging pedistal for my boat and all three pedistal breakers were placed in the "off" position.

I spoke to one other slip holder who had a similar issue that seemed to occur on or about August 1, 2024. Another slip holder noticed today, August 12, 2024 that his pedistal breakers were also turned "off".

Local management could offer me no solution.

I recently commissioned my new sailboat at RCR Marina. Despite the fact that I bought the boat from another seller, RCR accommodated my every need from accepting delivery on a truck, storing, then launching and mast stepping. Naturally, there are puzzles that need to be solved in commissioning a new boat. In every way that I needed their help, it was given without hesitation. They helped me achieve the schedule that they described in advance as ambitious. I definitely recognize that this was all done for a customer that will, likely, never give them more business. They did exactly what I needed. Both of those things are unusual.

We engaged RCR's Mike Foley as our buyer's broker to help with our process. He provided multiple listings of boats with our desired characteristics, met us in Toronto to view two boats, found an outstanding surveyor and smoothed out a prickly seller / contract situation. He found us an insurance agent and oversaw an uneventful closing. He drove my father and me to Toronto for the delivery and even did the custom lettering for our transom! He was knowledgeable, extremely helpful and always responsive to our calls and texts. We are very happy with our purchase and the process and we give Mike and RCR the highest praise and thanks!

Mike Foley of RCR Yachts, Sodus Point went above and beyond in helping us buy our 2000 Hunter 420 sailboat. He was with us every step of the way through the buying process. Helping us with the survey and all the necessary paperwork.

As a result of the survey, it was recommended we replace the rudder rather than attempt a repair. Mike spent the better part of a whole day helping us fit the new rudder just before our launch day.

RCR Yachts is lucky to have a Yacht Broker as good as Mike Foley. Great buying experience.

RCR yachts in buffalo NY Unstepped the mast on my buddies 1986 Tayana 52'. The guys at RCR knew exactly what to do and they did it with no problems. The mast was removed in about 6 hours and they built a number of frames to secure it to the deck, we then traveled through the Erie Canal, down the Hudson, around Manhattan and back up the east river through hells gate into Long Island sound with no problems with the way the mast was secured. I highly recommend RCR in Buffalo NY, great bunch of guys.

Quality operation in all respects. I began this season with a lengthy list of repairs and upgrades for my 20 year old sailboat. RCR was able to attend to each in a timely fashion with quality work and at a fair and reasonable price.

As in all such instances, you get what you pay for. At RCR, what you get is worth every penny.

My experience with RCR Yachts is based on the past six years keeping our first/current sailboat at their Buffalo Ship Canal facility. My wife and I have come to know the maintenance and marina staff very well as we learn how to keep our 1885 Catalina 30 afloat. We have been fortunate that everyone at RCR is extremely personable, vastly knowledgeable, and genuinely concerned with providing quality service with integrity. The facility is well run and kept very clean and accessible for their patrons with grills, covered pavilions, restrooms with showers, and parking to provide for those who choose to spent their summers on the lake. They have floating docks that are well maintained, secure, and very protected from the lake while still being just a few minutes from open water. I highly recommend RCR Yachts for any marina and boat brokerage related needs.
