Overview
The new Beneteau Oceanis 34.1 is sleeker, lighter, and has more sail area and extra space in the bow for the master cabin compared to the previous model. This yacht sets a new standard for sailing yachts in the 35-foot range, blending style, performance, and comfort. Designed by well-known naval architect Mark Lombard, it features a modern hull design. Additionally, the collaboration with Nauta Design for the deck and interior has resulted in a yacht with great proportions and smart use of space, making it nearly perfect.
Cruising Experience
Oceanis yachts have always focused on life aboard with family or friends, and the Beneteau Oceanis 34.1 is a perfect example of this. It promises safe, enjoyable cruising that is easy to handle, no matter who is on board. For basic navigation, you can choose the standard Easy Sail package, which includes a 334 sq/ft mainsail and a 197 sq/ft self-tacking jib. This is a great setup for doublehanded sailing or when sailing with less experienced crew. There is also an optional in-mast furling system. More experienced sailors can select the upgraded rigging, which includes a bowsprit for downwind sails, extra winches, and a 26m² furling genoa for longer cruises.
Hull Design
Looking at the renderings, it’s clear that Mark Lombard has done an excellent job with the Beneteau Oceanis 34.1’s flared hull design and long chine running aft. These features increase interior space while ensuring a smooth and comfortable cruising experience. The design gives the 7th generation of Oceanis yachts a strong visual identity, which enhances the sailing experience. The narrow waterline entries, lower angle of heel, and the hull resting on the chine all help to provide great comfort and stability on the water.
Interior Layout
Staying true to their reputation for quality, the NAUTA Design team has created a unique concept for this generation of Oceanis yachts. The style is instantly recognizable, with attention to every detail. The layouts focus on comfort, ease of use, and flow, always making the most of natural light.
Both of the Beneteau Oceanis 34.1 versions have bright and airy interiors, with four deck hatches and four hull portholes that ensure plenty of light and ventilation throughout the cabin. The starboard L-shaped galley, head compartment to port, and the large full-beam salon with two sofas and a big table for dining make it perfect for up to eight passengers. Additionally, there are two single berths, one of which is cleverly tucked under the folding chart table.
