**Vessel Overview**
Built by Hunter Marine in 1997, *Carbon* measures 37’3″ overall with a 12’7″ beam and 5’0″ draft. Her monohull fiberglass construction and sloop rig provide a proven platform for comfortable cruising, while her relatively moderate draft makes her well suited to the Great Lakes and other cruising grounds where draft can be a consideration.

**Sails & Rigging**
In 2022, the boat received a mainsail and genoa built by North Sails. A Leisure Furl in-boom furler was added to replace the lazy jacks, making sail handling particularly convenient for cruising. A spinnaker pole is also included.

The vessel is equipped with a new Axiom+ 12″ multifunction display with North American Navionics charts, along with a 2021 wheel-mounted autopilot. The interior stereo/CD player and exterior speakers were replaced in 2018.

Auxiliary power is provided by a Yanmar three-cylinder diesel producing approximately 28.5 kW, coupled to a Kanzaki KBW10 transmission and a 1-inch stainless-steel shaft. The engine is mounted amidships and drives a three-blade brass propeller. The engine has been regularly serviced and winterized.

A new 12-volt Lewmar V2 electric windlass and new chain were installed in 2024, paired with a 22-pound Danforth anchor. A 2025 application of Interlux Micron CSC antifouling paint provides a relatively recent bottom coating.
