Oceanis 42

[/vc_column]

Overview

The new Beneteau Oceanis 42 succeeds the Oceanis 40.1 with a more customizable approach to cruising in the 40-foot range. Designed by Marc Lombard Yacht Design with exterior and interior design by Nauta, it pairs a choice of five layouts with a cockpit and interior arranged for time aboard.

From a flexible aft platform to a choice of galley configurations, the Oceanis 42 can be set up for relaxed weekends, family cruising or longer stays on the water.

Exterior Design

The Oceanis 42’s aft platform and cockpit can be configured in two ways. The open arrangement extends the cockpit toward the water, while the closed arrangement adds aft seating and creates a more enclosed space for guests.

At the helm, integrated seats and backrests, ergonomic consoles and controls arranged within reach support a comfortable, organized sailing setup.

Interior Design

The bright saloon features sand-colored oak finishes, premium upholstery and a full-size desk facing the seating area. Choose from Ivory, Sunset or Pacific interior styles.

The galley is available in L-shaped or linear configurations. The L-shaped version sits at the foot of the companionway and offers 215 liters of cooling capacity. A bookshelf, ample storage and a dedicated cabinet for electrical controls add practical touches for life aboard.

Flexible Cruising Layouts

The Oceanis 42 offers five accommodation layouts: two cabins and one head; three cabins with one, two or three heads; or a four-cabin, two-head charter configuration.

Furling, classic and performance mast options let owners select a sail plan to suit their preferences. BENETEAU lists a standard furling mast, with taller mast options than the Oceanis 40.1.
