Description
Built in 2013 and delivered in 2014, this Beneteau Oceanis 34 has been capably cruised and impeccably maintained by the same owner since new. A two cabin, one head layout offers the cruising couple an ideal layout for longer trips away from the dock, but preserves plenty of room for crew and guests. Finished in a rich cherry interior, and a stunning pearl-gray gelcoat exterior, she has the look and feel of a classic yacht, but with the convenience and ease of maintenance that has become the hallmark of contemporary sailboats.
On deck she has a roller furling genoa and in-mast furling mainsail, with all lines lead aft to the coachroof for simple sail handling. Large primary winches, accessible from the helm station, conveniently handle the genoa. The helm station offers plenty of visibility, and featured networked Simrad instrumentation with wind, depth, speed, plotter and integrated autopilot. This design has a hinged helm seat that opens to a sugar-scoop transom, perfect for swimming or accessing the water. A reboarding ladder and hot/cold cockpit shower await your return. Teak-slatted cockpit seats offer a warm touch, and a large opening lazarette keeps fenders, extra lines, and spares conveniently out of the way.
Moving below, a large bright salon welcomes you. Here the complement between soft creamy upholstery and cherry finishes, combined with the abundance of natural light creates an inviting space. Air conditioning with reverse-cycle heat keeps the space comfortable in all seasons. An L-shaped galley to port features a double stainless sing, two burner propane stove with oven, and cleverly concealed front-entry refrigerator/freezer. A queen sized aft cabin with hanging locker is accessed aft, and the head with shower is to starboard. Ahead is the navigation table with a properly sized work desk and access to the AC and DC panel. A microwave rounds out the inventory of cooking utensils. Forward, port and starboard settees face one another with a table in between. Two leaves increase the size of the dining area, and a set of brass weather instruments adorn the port hull side. Moving forward, a V-berth with hanging locker and storage cabinets provide a quiet, private space.
The reliable Yanmar 29 HP diesel has only 368 hours, and this boat is professionally washed every two weeks, and stored in a heated building each winter. Here is an opportunity to own one of Beneteau's best mid-size designs; one that continues to feature in the Oceanis lineup to this day. Call to get aboard soon!

Patrick Kelly grew up on the west side of Cleveland, Ohio. After taking a local Learn to Sail class as a young teenager, he was hooked and has been on the water ever since. While attending The Ohio State University, he was a member of the sailing team, competing around the midwest. Boating has been a way of life for Patrick; he participates on several racing crews, and holds a USCG Master License. In addition, he is an FAA licensed commercial pilot.
When not racing, Patrick enjoys cruising around the great lakes with his partner Jennifer and their children. He volunteers his spare time to promote junior sailing programs, and enjoys watching his son sail on the Edgewater Yacht Club Junior Race Team.
Not only is Patrick a member of the RCR Team, he is also a customer, having purchased his boat through RCR a few years ago. "The expertise RCR provided when I made my boat purchase was impressive, and I hope to provide the same level of excellence to my customers."
